In a democracy, the people get the government they deserve

There is a saying, "In a democracy, the people get the government they deserve." The current situation of the Republic of Korea has truly shown the level of the people. At least half of the South Korean voters sold their consciences for their own small profit. One example is real estate. Some people want house prices to rise further as regulations are lifted, while others want house prices to fall due to increased housing supply. It is very difficult for the government to meet these conflicting demands, and it cannot satisfy everyone.

However, people think that they can show their dissatisfaction through voting, but when tensions between the two Koreas are rising and the situation with neighboring countries is complicated, how can they think so stupidly? Whatever happens to the Republic of Korea in the future will not be practically surprising. I just want all my acquaintances to stay alive.

I have seen clearly how the country is broken under the last Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye administrations. In particular, people in their 40s and 50s, who are currently playing the role of the center of society, felt the pain. I thought that the Moon Jae-in government could barely find its place, but with the birth of a conservative government again, it is now heading to an even worse place.

Now who wants to go out and light a candle on a cold night?
